Hello everyone! Today I am at my favorite place in the world, my favorite developer of all time. I know I frequently cite Toll Brothers, but Del Webb was the original. I am here at Del Webb in Las Vegas, visiting their beautiful 55+ community with my daughter Alana and Janet Lewis.
The three of us have been at the International Builder Show all week and it has been a thrill, but today I want to talk a little about this demographic, the 55+ demographic. As is true for anybody in the industry, you have got to know what people want, where they want to live, what amenities they need and more. If you know what people want and have taken the time to learn where that product is, you can help them buy it!
One of the big takeaways of our visit here to the International Builder Show and to Del Webb is that, as real estate agents, you need to understand that housing is changing. People are moving to Nevada and to Washington State from California - and in these states you need to know where these cool communities are because you cannot beat the value you get at a community like Del Webb. And people want and are willing to pay for quality construction and housing. I could talk developments all day long, there are millions of them.
Next year, I hope you will take me up on my invitation to come along to the International Builder Show and talk real estate with me.
