Denise Lones, President
As the founding partner of The Lones Group, Denise Lones brings over two decades of experience in the real estate industry. With expertise in strategic marketing, business analysis, branding, new home project planning, product development, and agent/broker training, Denise is nationally recognized as the source for all things real estate.
Denise's background in residential real estate sales and management includes an impressive list of awards. Using custom marketing campaigns and business development systems she personally created, she was consistently among the highest producing REALTORS® in a marketplace of 3,000+ agents. She then went on to brokerage ownership / management and led her office to the number one position in her marketplace. She has helped numerous real estate brokerages and builders achieve success. In 2004, Denise was awarded the prestigious Hugh Hawkins Instructor of the Year Award by the Washington Association of REALTORS® and more recently, Denise was nominated by Inman News as one of 2011's "100 Most Influential Real Estate Leaders."
Denise holds the esteemed M.I.R.M. designation from the National Association of Home Builders- the top national achievement for new home marketing. She also holds the CMP and Master CSP designations from NAHB and is a certified CSP and IRM instructor. She holds the GRI designation and is also a GRI instructor. Denise is also a licensed real estate managing broker and CCIM.
As a columnist for isucceed.com, Realty Times, the National Association of Home Builders, and the Washington Association of REALTORS®, Denise has a strong voice in the real estate community. In addition, Denise is a regular contributor to several industry blogs, including Active Rain, Trulia, RealTown®, and Crackerjack Agent.

Shauna Naf, CEO
Shauna has been with The Lones Group since 2003, when she joined the company as a designer. With each year, Shauna's responsibilities with the company have increased, culminating with her promotion to CEO in May of 2007. Skilled at managing a team and nurturing the best from her co-workers, Shauna loves working with a dynamic group full of ideas and talent. She likes to say she never has the same day twice!
Shauna also enjoys a variety of other creative activities including home improvement, writing, and gardening. A skilled cook, her meals are in demand at company events.
Randy Bowers, Director of Technology
Prior to joining The Lones Group, Randy spent more than a decade managing his own computer programming and consulting company, serving clients world-wide. Today, Randy oversees technology projects and assets for our company, including client websites and online marketing campaigns. On a typical day you'll find him programming new tools and providing friendly advice to help our clients grow with technology.
When not at work he likes writing music, video games, biking and hiking, story-telling, photography, and working outdoors. 0x0F.
Nicole Fjelsted, Design Coordinator
Nicole's passion for design began in early high school where she turned to art and found peace and solace. Since then, Nicole has studied typography, visual journalism, visual communications, print and web design, photography, illustration, painting and she has also spent time as a publication editor. In her off time she enjoys cuddling fuzzy animals, spending time with her loved ones, cooking, enjoying nature, painting, and following design trends to help give clients and herself the upper edge.
John Seitz, Designer
With a background in print and web design, John Seitz's passion and experience makes him a valuable member of The Lones Group. He especially enjoys working directly with clients to bring their visions to life.
An avid music and design lover, John spends much of his free time doing exactly the same things he does at work. A native of Spokane, Washington, John Seitz received his degree in Visual Communication Design from Eastern Washington University before defecting to Bellingham to be with his long-time girlfriend. They have a rescue dog, Boo, who is a source of some frustration and endless delight.
Jamie Holmes, Designer
Jamie has a background in marketing and promotional products. She specializes in vector art but is used to wearing many hats, from web design to industrial printing. She has a Bachelor's in English Literature and a Master's in Business Administration. She married her best friend, James (Yeah. James and Jamie. They know.) and her world revolves around their daughter. Her passions include marine biology, comic books, writing, and drawing. On her bucket-list are things like snorkeling with hammerhead sharks, writing a bestselling novel (or 3), and building an online art supply business. When not at the office or at her art desk at home, she enjoys hiking, swimming, and watching movies with her family.
Melanie Robbins, Designer
With degrees in both Visual Communication and Web Design/Interactive Media, Melanie's education has perfectly prepared her for her critical role at The Lones Group. But this young, energetic designer brings more than book learning to our team. She also has a solid background of great work for clients! An artist from an early age, Melanie has successfully navigated the journey from coloring books to the Creative Suite, and we're thrilled to have her as a part of our team.
Melanie is lucky to be married to her best friend Tate. Their cat "Pippin" rounds out the family (for now!). Not surprisingly, Melanie's free time is filled with drawing and painting - but reading, travelling, and swing dancing also play an important role in her life.
Jessica Wilbert, Designer
Jessica is a lifelong Washington native, born and raised on beautiful Whidbey Island before moving to Bellingham in 2002 to attend Western Washington University. After obtaining her degree in History, she went to work in veterinary medicine for fourteen years, ranging from local animal shelters to a well respected small animal practice in Fairhaven. She returned to college in 2014 to pursue a dual degrees in Business Administration and Visual Communications, returning to her creative roots that had long lay dormant. Jessica shares her life with husband Adam, her beloved cats, and two mischievous but innocent appearing rabbits. In her spare time (ha!), you'll find Jessica creating unique, locally handcrafted beauty products in her own small business, Sea Holly Beauty Company, adding to her collection of vintage board games, and curling up with a good book.
Heather Stevenson, Project Coordinator
Heather Stevenson is an innovative outside-the-box thinker, extremely detail-oriented, organized and is always striving to find the latest and best in everything she does. Heather prides herself in her technology, communication and writing skills. Heather also enjoys creating proprietary applications to help with organization and to keep up-to-date with clients and our real estate transactions. Her applications are often used as examples for others and she has sold some of her systems to places such as the City of Bellingham and the Bellingham Fire Department, but above all her philosophy in business is, "clients first."
When Heather is not working, you will probably find her with her family or volunteering for several local organizations including schools and Scouts. In 2010 Heather was featured in the Bellingham Herald's "10 Who Cared" spotlight and in 2012 she was honored to receive the prestigious Volunteer of the Year for the Bellingham School District. She also enjoys photography and videography. You will rarely see her without some kind-of technology in her hands as she is always hungry for more knowledge and researching new ways to accomplish her tasks and goals.
Nancy Johnson, Bookkeeper
With over 20 years of bookkeeping and customer service experience, Nancy has been a great addition to our team. She is the "go-to" person for any questions you may have regarding your Lones Group account.
The garden calls to Nancy, and when not at work you will find her there with her grand-daughter... or on a motorcycle ride with her husband of 32 years!
Angie Owen, Administrative Assistant
Angie enjoys working with people and building relationships. Outside The Lones Group, she is also owner of Seaside Bakery & Cafe in Blaine, WA. She enjoys spending time with family and friends. Angie is married to David Owen and a mother of 3, Wyatt, Jorden and Kaleb. She enjoys camping, fishing, boating and just being out in nature.
